In racing circles, Derek Bell is a household name. He's been racing for over 30 years!
Derek is a 5-time LeMans 24-Hour Champion, 3-time winner of Daytona 24-Hours and the winner of 2 World Sportscar Championships. He has raced for the factory teams of Ferrari, Porsche and McLaren. He began racing in a Lotus, then moved to Formula 3. Having caught the eye of the Ferrari factory, he then moved to drive their Formula-2 entry and later Ferrari's Formula-1 car. However, he perhaps became best known for his endurance racing at the 24-Hours of LeMans and Daytona in Group-C and IMSA with Porsche 962s. Derek is a very down-to-earth individual with a great sense of humor. In November 2007, Derek drove for the elite Amalfi Racing Legends, Inc. team at the Porsche Rennsport Reunion III at the Daytona International Speedway, Daytona, FL. He made it look so easy as he was tearing up the track setting fast lap times. Derek uses my photographs from this event during his various speaking tours.
